Another Day - Another Week gone in May!

(These are my lovely rose bouquet I received for my birthday.)

What a week! Seems all my good intentions go down the not now path!
I really thought I would have a handle on school by now so I could keep up with my other obligations. You know, grocery shopping, laundry, dusting . . .then there is the not so obvious ones, my blog, my two websites and my blog reader (we won't talk about the email!).
The good thing is my first week grades are A's and B's - that is consolation for sure! I had a really nice birthday even if I didn't get to the computer at all! My mom made a fantastic dinner, and a Paula Deen strawberry topped layer cake. Yummy! I will have to get recipe next time we get together. Hubby surprised me with a brand new computer chair. I love it - now that I can sit in it for a bit.



Suppose I better get going. I have tons to do yet tonight, maybe even get an email or two out before I go to bed.

Long Days, Craft Show and Friday Flea Market!

Another long day! Yesterday I went to hubby's doctors appointment with him. It is a 2 hour drive from here, but the good part is there is a Hobby Lobby there. A store I only get to once or twice a year. I enjoyed it. Lots of good buys! Today it was back to work on my lesson for class and I set up my craft show booth. Shopping Goodie Photos

Evening Folks!

Below are some pictures of the goodies I picked up when I was outlet shopping last weekend. They were great bargins, $3 at the most for an item with most of them around .50. Can't beat the prices.



I am going to use some of these on some vintage, and antique windows that I have in storage. I want to paint them up, and thought the wood mediallions (are they medallions and ???) would dress it up nicely.

I picked up some really neat vintage looking drawer pulls. I want to use them ontop of boxes, or wood lap desks to dress them up. I am really fond of the light green glass one.

I really love the floral-ly look to these medallions. I may add one or two to the front of my chest of drawers. My set is very plane, vintage - and needs alot of TLC. Once I get going with the paint job on the set, I will be able to plan better on what pieces would look best.

The flower-y ones on the top of the above picture are really big, about 6 inches (maybe 8 - I am guessing. LOL) and 6 inches tall. I have some other goodies I picked up last weekend too, but I am running on empty. I am starting my design courses, with my first assignments due on Friday. Lots of reading to do - and I want to maintain the info so it is important to read it throughly and apply the knowledge as soon as I can.

Another busy day

Another busy day - what's new, right?? I had to review and submit my beginning quizes for my college courses in digital design. I will be attending for two years, and will have days like today when I can't get it done when I think I should have. I tend to be a perfectionist and that is what catches me up more often than not.

Painted and Crocheted Item Photos

Here is some photo's of the items I "created" this last week. Enjoy!

This is a baby blanket I am crocheting for my new grandbaby that is on the way. I still have 1/2 of it to go before it is finished. So far it is turning out really well. . .it is a design of my own so I am never sure when I start what it will look like in the end. *smile*

Here is some 100% cotton dish cloths I crochet. I plan on making more and adding them to an etsy shop.

Another box, painted in a garden theme. I will add some gardening goodies, and a gift box is born!

This is a cute little Prim Country Bear box. I plan on adding some gardening goodies to the box for a great Mothers day gift.

This is a little prim doll, painted on a cheese board.

Todays Trip

I had a really long day today! I can't believe the day is almost over and I haven't even finished my email. . .

The sun was out and the weather beautiful for our ride to the Outlet store today. I found lots of goodies!! If I would have had unlimited funds, I could have bought alot more! Spring is a good time for bargains, soon followed by the yards sales of summer. I saw in the paper that some of the yard sales had already started in the area. I want to keep a watch on the paper, to make sure I get to some this year.

I am tired - and will write more tomorrow. I just didn't want to miss my post today. *smile* I will catch up with everyone else tomorrow too.

Fun Trip Planned!

I am going to be gone most of the day tomorrow - like today, I will be posting very late. I will take pictures tomorrow of what I have been working on, and of course any goodies I buy tomorrow.

Hubby and I are traveling to a wonderful store (about an 1 1/2 hour drive) that has everything you can imagine! It is like a big lots in a way, lots of close out items, but they have of great items they carry all the time too. We always try to go twice a year, more if we can. Probably not this year- gas is high- this will probably be the only trip. I am definitely going to make the most of it. *smile*
